Task 1 - Canon XH A1 Research

For this task i researched the different features, requirements and reviews of using the Canon XH A1 camera I'll be using - Firstly these are show basic features and capabilities of the camera

• Its HDV - which is a format of video recording and playback in High definition on the DV cassette tapes we used it class today.



• It has a resolution of 1280x720 or 1440x1080 - this allows for display on larger screens.



• It includes focus, zoom and exposure changes and white balance adjustments - these settings and features will allow for good quality recording and allow me to experiment with shot techniques in different environments.

This is a video from nowhowvideo.com - i found this a good overview of the Canon XHA1's capabilities and how to use them on the camera, i found this fairly easy to understand as a beginner to camera terminology, apart form some setting and lighting terms i knew form my own knowledge - any questions you have about what's been said in the video you can look at the web link given above or I'll be willing to ask any questions to the best of my ability.

I found during my research i read through many positive reviews, prasing the camera and it's ability in filming on different locations.
